The police are holding a special operation against drug dealers in Turkey's Istanbul city, Sabah newspaper reported Nov.5.
Over 30 people have been detained as a result of the operation with participation of more than 500 policemen.
Earlier, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the country will enhance fighting the drug trafficking.
Noting that the use of drugs is one of the problems in Turkey, he said the government intends to increase the number of drug treatment clinics.
The prime minister also said the drug dealers will be regarded as terrorists.
Over 48,000 teenage drug addicts have been registered in Turkey. Over the last four years, 316,466 people have been detained in Istanbul for using and selling drugs.
