BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 12. Türkiye's ports received 29 million tons of cargo in November 2023, Trend reports.
The data from the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure shows that cargo reception in domestic ports by Turkish-flagged vessels amounted to 2.4 million tons in November 2023, and by vessels under the flags of other countries, 26.5 million tons.
In addition, a total of 4.4 million tons of transit cargo were transported from Turkish ports in November 2023.
According to the ministry, Türkiye's ports received 355.3 million tons of cargo from January through November 2023.
"The cargo traffic of Turkish-flagged vessels amounted to 26.4 million tons from January through November 2023. And by vessels under the flags of other countries, cargo traffic to the ports of Türkiye amounted to 328.8 million tons," the ministry said.
In addition, about 61.4 million tons of transit cargo were transported from the ports of Türkiye from January through November 2023.
The ports of Türkiye received 4,309 vessels in November 2023 (2,911 vessels under the flags of other countries, 1,398 vessels under the flag of Türkiye).
The Turkish ports received 55,495 vessels from January through November 2023 (37,749 vessels under the flags of other countries and 17,746 vessels under the Turkish flag).
