Deputy Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi said that Group 5+1 updated proposal was not against Iran's rights and the group's goodwill should be proved in the upcoming meeting in Almaty on April 5-6.
He told IRNA that the proposals had a more positive trend compared to the past.
"But we should wait and see if the trend is fully positive and whether or not they would proceed with," he said.
Araqchi, a member of the Iranian negotiating team in Almaty, noted that in the new negotiations with Group 5+1, Iran has adopted a general agreement in a bid to go ahead step by step.
"The approach is based on mutual and equal steps agreed in Istanbul," he said, noting that the first step was discussed in Almaty with the next steps remaining unknown.
