Withdrawal of Russian troops from Georgia and Ukraine will allow to strengthen the stability and security in the region, Alexi Petriashvili, Georgian State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration said on Oct.9.
He was commenting on the statement of Russia's Foreign Ministry which said that the placement of the military infrastructure in Georgia in accordance with the interests of NATO, will threaten the stability in the Transcaucasian region.
"The infrastructure that has been created, or to be created in Georgia with the aim of increasing defense, doesn't pose any threat to Russia and will not target this country," he said.
"The joint efforts of the NATO partner states aim to strengthen the regional security and stability," Petriashvili said, adding that the withdrawal of Russian bases from Georgia and Moldova, the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine would allow to strengthen the stability and security in the region.
