Georgians in Azerbaijan feel at home: minister

Georgians living in Azerbaijan feel at home, Georgian Diaspora Minister Iulon Gogashidze told reporters in Baku on March 5.

"Azerbaijan is the friendliest country for Georgians living abroad. We have always been friends. Our presidents are friends. The friendship will last forever," Gogashidze said.

Gogashidze arrived in Azerbaijan to get familiar with the living conditions and activities of the diaspora. He visited Azerbaijan upon the invitation of Azerbaijani State Diaspora Committee Chairman Nazim Ibrahimov.

His visit will last until March 7.

Gogashidze is expected to meet with the Azerbaijani culture, tourism and education ministers.

Gogashidze will visit Georgian communities in Gakh, Balakan and Zagatala.
