ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 26. The Lebap Cement Plant of Turkmenistan manufactured 295,200 tons of products from January through April this year, Trend reports.
According to official data, during the specified period, the enterprise produced cement for a total amount of about 59 million Turkmen manat, which is equivalent to $16.8 million, which is higher than last year.
Furthermore, in the first four months of this year, the plant exported over 17,800 tons of products to foreign customers.
Meanwhile, in March of this year, Turkmenistan launched the second phase of the Lebap Cement Plant, located in the Koytendag district of the eastern region of the country, which significantly increased its production performance.
The first stage of this cement plant was put into operation in February 2013, after which the plant actively began selling products both on the domestic market and abroad.
Due to the increasing dynamics of the construction of industrial and social facilities in Turkmenistan, industry is becoming one of the most important sectors of the economy.
