BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. Revenues to the state budget of Azerbaijan through the State Customs Committee from January through May 2024 decreased by 1.47 percent compared to the same period in 2023, Trend reports.
Data from the committee showed that revenues exceeded 2.49 billion manat ($1.46 billion) in the reporting period.
Revenue from customs duties to the state budget in 2024 increased by 43.16 percent (269.8 million manat or $158.7 million) compared to the same period last year, amounting to 894.976 million manat ($526.45 million).
VAT revenues in the reporting period amounted to 1.501 billion manat ($882.9 million), reflecting a 16.72 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2023. Excise tax revenues totaled 78.429 million manat ($46.1 million), a 1.4 percent decrease, while road tax revenues were 15.818 million manat ($9.3 million), a 22.04 percent decrease.
To note, revenues to Azerbaijan's state budget through the SCC in 2023 increased by 12.08 percent compared to 2022, reaching 6.337 billion manat ($3.727 billion).
