TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 25. Uzbekistan plans to bring home the bacon by reeling in a whopping $420 million from international organizations and banks for projects in the poultry industry, Trend reports.

According to the Uzbek president’s office, the country will increase the volume of poultry meat production from 700,000 tons to 800,000 tons this year. At the same time, the volume of egg production will increase from 8.5 billion to 10 billion.

The country plans to introduce a cluster system in poultry farming, develop business projects, and provide them to entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, the poultry enterprises will be exempt from land tax for 5 years. Uzbekistan will allow the export of poultry meat, and the term of repayment of $35 million of low-cost resources provided to entrepreneurs will be extended for 3 years.

Earlier in 2023, the country implemented 253 projects in the poultry industry, and a total of 4,000 workplaces were created.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan and Mongolia plan to create a production cluster to manufacture meat products meeting Halal standards for export to the countries in the region.

In particular, both countries plan to put all their eggs in one basket by organizing large livestock complexes in Uzbekistan’s Karakalpakstan, Namangan, and other regions.
