President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the U.S. special representative for Eurasian energy issues Richard Morningstar held a meeting on Friday, state news agency AzerTaj reported.
At the meeting there was stressed the role of the summit "Southern Corridor - New Silk Road" in the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States in the field of energy, as well as expansion of cooperation at the regional level.
There was expressed confidence in further expansion of the relationships between Azerbaijan and the United States.
