The radical opposition of Georgia intends to hold a civilian parade on 26 May, the Day of Independence, said one of the leaders of the unparliamentary opposition Levan Gachechiladze.

The ceremony will begin at the central stadium of Paichadze where hundreds of thousands of people will meet," he said.

"From there we will go marching to the parliament and the parade will continue here," said Gachechiladze.

"This is our response to the statement by the President. Let him see how many we are, and let them make appropriate decisions - resignation from the post," said Gachechiladze.

He stressed that every day until May 26, the action will continue, and will take more and more acute forms.
