The Georgian sailors feel good. There are no threats to their health, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister, Alexander Nalbandov, said at a formal briefing.
He said that the 13 sailors are not in prison or immigration camp. They are being detained in normal conditions.
Nalbandov said that the La-Plata Company owns the ship which was sailing under Panama flag. The company's management is doing its best to release all the sailors and have engaged a lawyer who will meet with representatives from the Philippine government on August 24.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry is in contact with the detained sailors.
Philippine military detained the ship on August 21. Five boxes with Israeli Galil rifles were discovered on board.
According to the ship's log, the ship left a Turkish port for the port of Batangas, situated in the south of Manila.
According to the Philippine authorities, the weapons were for pro-Islamic rebels.
