Belgian official to visit Georgia

Democratic reforms, the situation in Georgia's occupied territories and active cooperation with European structures were discussed during a meeting between Georgian Parliamentary Speaker David Bakradze and Belgian Senate Chairman Armand De Decker.

Democratic reforms, the situation in Georgia's occupied territories and active cooperation with European structures were discussed during a meeting between Georgian Parliamentary Speaker David Bakradze and Belgian Senate Chairman Armand De Decker.

Armand De Decker will visit Georgia with a Belgian senatorial delegation in the near future, the Georgian parliament told Trend .

"The possibilities of Belgium as the EU chairman in the second half of 2010 to support Georgia in Euro-Atlantic agencies are very important for us," Bakradze said.

The Georgian parliamentary speaker will continue meetings in Luxembourg today.

According to Bakradze, support to each EU member is important for Georgia.

The Georgian speaker will meet with his Luxembourgian counterpart and address a senatorila committee on international relations.
