President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today visited the country`s Khizi region, Azerbaijani President's official website reported.
The Head of State started his visit by laying flowers at a monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of the region.
The President was informed about land improvement and redevelopment work in the Heydar Aliyev park .
The park got decorative trees and flowering bushes, modern lightning system and Flag Square.
The Head of State cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Heydar Aliyev Center here, and then toured it.
The President was told the construction of the facility started in May, 2011.
Fourteen photo stands reflecting lifetime and activity of the national leader and his visits to foreign countries and regions were installed here.
The Center has a 90-seat auditorium, conference hall and library.
The Head of State signed the Center`s guest book.
