On June 21, Baku will host the 1st Forum of Heads of Diaspora Organizations of Member Countries of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States.

Nearly 500 representatives from 44 countries have been invited to the forum. Most of the invited are the heads or representatives of Azerbaijani, Turkish, Kazakh and Kyrgyz Diaspora organizations.

The forum will also be attended by the representatives of state and government institutions, NGOs, academic, cultural and other structures, the press service of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora told Trend.

The forum is also expected to be attended by the General Secretary of the International Organization of Turkic Culture Dusen Kaseinov, first deputy chairman of the board of the World Organization of the Kazakhs Talgat Mamashev, Minister of Labour, Migration and Youth of Kyrgyzstan Alisbek Alymkulov, head of the Department for Turks abroad under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkey, Kemal Yurtnacha, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Turkey Sadettin Kilic, rector of the International Turkic Academy Shakimashrip Ibraev and others.

The forum will also discuss the areas of cooperation between Diaspora organizations of Turkic-speaking countries, prospects of joint activities to address the problems of the Turkic world, implementation of the "Strategy of joint activities of Diaspora organizations of Turkic Speaking States" signed on May 14 in Ankara.

The forum will conclude with the adoption of the Baku Declaration.

It should be noted that the decision to hold the forum in the capital of Azerbaijan was adopted in January of this year at the first meeting of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States in Baku.
