New requirements were determined for Azerbaijani students studying abroad at public expense.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers' decree No 180 dated October 19, to the "Agreement concluded between the Ministry of Education and a person studying abroad", a new paragraph was added, the Azerbaijani government said. The new paragraph provides that all students studying abroad at public expense, must take part in events to protect the interests of Azerbaijan, and other socio-cultural activities organized by the Azerbaijani Diaspora and diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan, located in the countries where they study.
The state program was approved by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on April 16, 2007.
