The Azerbaijani Education Ministry will appeal to the Tariff Council with a request to increase education fees of the state order professions in the country's higher educational institutions, Minister Misir Mardanov told journalists on Wednesday.
"Education fees of the state order professions in the country's higher educational institutions must be higher than in the private higher educational institutions," he said. "Income of the higher educational institutions will increase with the increase of the number of students in the state order professions."
Education fee of the state order professions in the Azerbaijani higher educational institutions is 800-900 manat a year.
Mardanov said the higher educational institutions apply the independent financing on the voluntary base.
"Some higher educational institutions may take part in this process and some no. This depends on how we, as the Azerbaijani government, will realize this process. All higher educational institutions will join this process, if they see that the educational institutions that joined it win," he added.
