Azerbaijan's first lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva has visited Baku Clinical Medical Center No.1 where the injured as a result of the fire outbreak in a multi-story building in Baku May 19 are receiving treatment.
Azerbaijan's Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev briefed the first lady about the health condition of those receiving treatment in the center.
It was noted that a total of 56 people sought medical treatment as a result of the outbreak. Fifteen of them were provided with medical assistance on the spot, while 41 people were hospitalized.
Furthermore, 19 out of 26 hospitalized people were discharged home on May 19. Despite the efforts of the doctors one person died at night.
Thus, the death toll as a result of the fire outbreak in Baku reached 15 people.
Currently, 14 people are receiving treatment in hospitals. It was also noted that currently, the patients are in a moderately grave condition and there is no threat to their lives.
The injured as a result of the fire outbreak expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva for attention and care.
Azerbaijan's First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva had a conversation with the injured. She noted that carrying out their treatment at a high level and paying compensations to the residents of the burnt building for the material damage is under the direct control of President Ilham Aliyev.
The first lady expressed condolences to the families of the victims of the fire outbreak and said that the perpetrators of the incident will be punished.
Mehriban Aliyeva wished the injured recovery and instructed to conduct their treatment at even higher level.
