Steven Seagal, the Hollywood's indestructible action hero, is known around the world as a musician. It was Azerbaijan's turn to see the other side of Seagal.
Seagal delivered a stunning show in Baku Dec.16 at the Heydar Aliyev Center. Seagal, who plays the electric guitar, usually puts himself ahead of the group on the stage, as the leader. He has low, soft baritone, which is ideal for sensual blues.
Seagal is not confined to one style - the actor-musician can perform pop-jazz and especially reggae. He's also good at guitar solos - explosive, temperamental, mighty and powerful, as the complement of his personal qualities.
This concert became a real eye-opener for the guests who knew Seagal as a movie star only. Throughout the whole evening, the audience enjoyed blues performed by Seagal and his band.
Seagal himself is very proud of his musical career, saying he's glad he put his love for music above his film career. Doing films is just a hobby and a source of income, while music is true passion, he says.
Following his first concert in Baku, Seagal shared his impressions with media.
It was a lovely evening, said Seagal, adding he believes that everyone had a great time. He said it was a great honor for him to perform in the Heydar Aliyev Center.
Seagal also praised the performance of the "Natig" rhythm group. He added that he really liked Baku and Azerbaijan became one of his favorite countries in the world.
