BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14. In the aftermath of the 44-day Patriotic War, 489 soldiers with disabilities resulting from the I and II Karabakh Wars have received 598 state-of-the-art prosthetics, Trend reports, citing the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan.
The provision of modern sporting prosthetics to participants in the Patriotic War has also been ongoing since last year.
“Advanced prosthetics enable users to move freely, steadily, and confidently, allowing for smoother integration into social life and even participation in sports and competitions.
Notably, following the directive from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, one of the key areas of social support for individuals with war-related disabilities is the provision of cutting-edge prosthetic devices,” the ministry statement said.
