ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 24. The UK intends to share its experience of creative economy development with Turkmenistan within the framework of a joint initiative with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the UK ambassador to Turkmenistan, Stephen Conlon said, Trend reports via UNDP.
“The creative sector has been a significant source of growth for the UK economy and we would like to share our experience with Turkmenistan. In addition to stimulating economic growth, the creative sector strengthens national identity and promotes innovation,” the Ambassador emphasized.
UNDP will prepare recommendations on the development of the creative economy and support for entrepreneurship in Turkmenistan as part of the project.
One of the key events will be a forum on creative and circular economy, which will bring together representatives of the government, business, international experts, and the creative sector. The forum will be aimed at creating a favorable legislative framework for the creative economy and sharing international experience.
To note, UNDP actively promotes the national agenda and development in collaboration with the Government of Turkmenistan and international development partners. Utilizing global knowledge, international best practices, the latest technologies, and innovative solutions, UNDP is working to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, contributing to a peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable future for Turkmenistan.
