The Azerbaijani Economy Development Ministry is holding a workshop on the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) within the framework of country's entrance to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The workshop is attended by representatives of the Ministries of Justice, Health, Economy, Finance, Taxes, Transport, Communications and IT, Agriculture, State Customs Committee, State Committee on State Property Management and others.
Participants of the workshop were informed of the preparations of national schedule (entrance to the market and national regime), which reflects liabilities on GATT services.
The workshop will last three days.
Azerbaijan has been represented in WTO as an observer since 1997. Azerbaijan is preparing for 7th round of negotiations with WTO working group in Geneva in June. The previous meeting was held on Dec. 11, 2008.

Azerbaijan wants to enter WTO on acceptable terms avoiding any damage to the economy.
