A delegation of Italian businessmen arrived to Azerbaijan on a two-day visit June 21. The aim of the visit is to find partners on the Azerbaijani market, Special Agency Padova Promex Executive Director at the Padua City Commerce Chamber Franco Conzato told Trend June 21.
"This is our first visit to Baku, and we believe that Azerbaijan is developing dynamically and paying satisfactory attention to diversifying its economy," he said.
Conzato added that the delegation consists of eight companies engaged furniture, construction and baking equipment production, as well as PR and natural stone product manufacturing.
"These are small business representatives and the purpose of their visit is not to find customers, but rather to find partners, to develop future cooperation, and to form joint ventures," he said.
Conzato stressed that a number of Italian companies may soon open representative offices in Baku, and they will also assist their Azerbaijani partners in entering the European market.
"Baku is a bridge to the Caspian region and we are confident that our visit will give an impetus to the bilateral relations between our two countries and future joint ventures," he said.
The visit is organized with the support of the Italian Trade Commission and the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry.
