Georgia's foreign trade turnover with the CIS countries has increased.
In January 2013, the foreign trade turnover of Georgia with CIS countries totalled $219 million or two per cent more than the same figure last year.
As the Georgian Statistics Service told Trend, in money terms, exports of Georgia amounted to $88 million (a 10 per cent increase), imports - $132 million (a three per cent decrease). The CIS countries' share in foreign trade turnover of Georgia hit 33 per cent including exports - 45 per cent and imports - 28 per cent (figures in January 2013, respectively were 33, 51 and 27 per cent).
In January 2013 a negative balance of trade with the CIS countries decreased by 25 per cent.
