In August 2018, 98 companies with Azerbaijani capital have been registered in Turkey, which is by 32 companies more than in the same month of 2017, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend Sept. 24.
The total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in August has amounted to 36.1 million Turkish liras, while in August 2017, the total capital of registered Azerbaijani companies amounted to 12 million Turkish liras, the TOBB noted.
"In August, the number of companies registered in Turkey has decreased by 19.92 percent, and the number of registered cooperatives has increased by 25.68 percent," TOBB stated.
The state agency noted that in August 2018, 5,443 companies, 93 cooperatives have been registered in Turkey, while Istanbul has accounted for 86.42 percent of all the registered companies and cooperatives.
The TOBB also noted that in January-August 2018, the number of companies registered in Turkey, has increased by 21.65 percent compared to the same period in 2017.
"The number of cooperatives registered in Turkey in the first eight months of 2018 has increased by 18.41 percent compared to the same month of 2017," TOBB said.
The TOBB noted that the number of closed companies has decreased by 12.32 percent, and the number of closed cooperatives has decreased by 12.34 percent in the first eight months of 2018.
The official exchange rate on September 24 is 6.2784 TL/USD.
