Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Mehdi Sadeghi Niyaraki announced three methods of selling cars in the country, which include extraordinary sales, pre-sale of cars and delivery up to one year, and participation in production.

"Revealing real demands and ensuring justice during the sales and distribution are among the main goals of the ministry,” Sadeghi Nyaraki told Trend. "A number of requirements have been imposed to reveal the demands.”

He said that not buying a car in the last 36 months from any of the car manufacturers, not having a car plate number and having a valid driving certificate for buyers are among these requirements.

The deputy minister added that this scheme will allow real consumers to buy car via the extraordinary sale process.

Explaining the method, he said that in the extraordinary sale plan, the price is fixed, the delivery takes a maximum of 3 months, and the cars' price will be paid in two steps.

He added that in the case of too many customers, they will be selected by lottery.

"The important point in the extraordinary sales plan is that the car document is mortgaged for one year, in other words, the person who purchase the car does not have the right to sell it for one year,” he added.

Referring to other way of selling car known as Participation in Production he explained that this plan concerns some cars.

The deputy minister noted that the car pre-sales and delivery up to one year will start from the beginning of June.

“The first phase of pre-sale is paying the fixed advance fees announced by the Competition Council; during the secondary phase, which implies the delivery of the car up to one year, the price will be determined by the day's delivery price,” he said.
