Turkmen AKAR TEKSTIL textile company produces more than 500,000 socks every month, Soltanova Gunay, Deputy Head of Marketing Department of the company told Trend.
In addition, Soltanova noted that the coronavirus did not have any impact on the volume of production.
"Our production continues to operate the same," Soltanova added.
She noted that in the near future the company plans to expand the territory of the factory, as well as launch production of new machines purchased in Italy.
"We use the best machines, such as MATEC SILVER,LONATI,COMPLETT K&S,TECNOPEA," she said.
The range of textile products is increasing in Turkmenistan due to the manufacture of corduroy fabric, as well as various types of non-woven material.
Turkmenistan annually grows more than one million tons of cotton, which serves as a raw material base for the development of the textile industry.
Home textiles, sports, and denim clothing make up a significant share of Turkmenistan's exports. The textile industry of Turkmenistan includes more than 70 textile and clothing enterprises.
