Aluminum and aluminum products worth $86.7 million were exported from January through October 2020, which shows a decrease by 18.9 percent or $20.2 million on an annualized basis, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
The share of these products in the total export of Azerbaijan reached 0.71 percent compared to 0.64 percent in the previous year.
There is an increase of $5.9 million (8.2 percent) in import operations on aluminum and aluminum products for the year. So, the volume amounted to $78.4 million.
The share of these products in Azerbaijan's total import volume amounted to 0.89 percent, having increased by 0.26 percentage points for the year.
The volume of foreign trade turnover of aluminum and aluminum products amounted to $165.1 million from January through October 2020, which is eight percent or $14.3 million less than in the same period of the previous year.
In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $21 billion from January through October 2020, which is 25.7 percent less than in the same period of 2019. More than $12.2 billion or 58.25 percent of that volume accounted for export while the remaining $8.8 billion or 41.75 percent, - for import.
