Iran sees increase in exports from Golestan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 4

The exports from the Golestan Province (north-eastern Iran) increased by 52 percent in terms of value and 268 percent in terms of volume during the first four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), Deputy Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Golestan Province Darvishali Hassanzadeh said, Trend reports citing the organization.

According to Hassanzadeh, 161,000 tons of goods worth about $46 million were exported from the Golestan Province over the reporting period.

“The exported goods were mainly dairy products, cement, chemicals, tomato paste, mining products, fruit juices, various flowers and plants and so on,” he added.

The deputy noted that the province's goods were mainly exported to Iraq, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Afghanistan and other countries.
