Iran records increase in exports via customs of Qom Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 8

Iran’s exports through the customs of Qom Province increased by 105 percent in terms of value in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2021), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Director General of Qom Province Customs Office, Esfandiar Derikvandi told IRNA, Trend reports.

The director general stressed that $22.7 million worth of goods were exported through the customs of Qom Province in the 7th month. Meanwhile, in the same month last Iranian year, the figure stood at $13.5 million.

“In addition, 3,490 tons of goods worth $19.8 million were imported through Qom Province’s customs in the seventh month. The main imported goods were raw materials and equipment used in manufacturing enterprises,” he said.

As reported, Iran's exports for the 7th month of the current Iranian year amounted to 15.2 million tons worth about $5.27 billion.

The exports increased by 27 percent in terms of value and 5 percent in terms of volume, compared to the 6th month (August 23 through September 22, 2021).
