Iran's aluminum ingots production increased by 24 percent, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through January 20, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, four Iranian aluminum companies produced 453,436 tons of aluminum ingots within 10 months. The figure stood at 364,783 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
"So, the Iranian Aluminum Company produced about 149,496 tons of aluminum ingots, South Aluminum Corporation (SALCO) – 148,299 tons, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company – 124,428 tons, and Iran Alumina Company – 31,213 tons during 10 months," the report said.
In addition, the Iran Alumina Company produced 193,534 tons of alumina powder in 10 months. The figure amounted to 193,962 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
As well as the company produced 767,921 tons of bauxite during the mentioned period, which is an increase of 13 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the bauxite production was 679,462 tons over the same period last Iranian year.
