BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. Iran's aluminum ingots production increased by 23 percent during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, four Iranian aluminum companies produced a total of 318,091 tons of aluminum ingots in 6 months. The figure stood at 259,574 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
"So, the South Aluminum Corporation (SALCO) produced 137,351 tons of aluminum ingots, the Iranian Aluminum Company – 88,111 tons, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company – 74,543 tons, and Iran Alumina Company – 18,086 tons within two months," the report said.
In addition, the Iran Alumina Company produced over 118,845 tons of alumina powder for six months, which is an increase of 2 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the company’s alumina powder production amounted to 116,192 tons.
In 6 months, the Iranian Alumina Company also produced 261,009 tons of bauxite.
