The Austrian companies EVN, which is involved in refinery of wastes, and FAMED, specialized in the construction of hospital complexes held a presentation of their activities in Baku on 29 November 2006, Trend reports.
The Austrian companies have great experience in this respect and their proposals will be considered. However, it does not mean that we will prefer only the Austrian proposals among all interesting proposals, Heydar Babayev, the Azerbaijani Minister for Economic Development.
The key task in organization of joint commission is to remove the problems on the way of investors and businessmen.
The Minster informed that all conditions will be provided for search of partners and a business-forum scheduled for next week will enable to establish the Azerbaijani-Austrian relationships. In its turn Austria informed on its interests in the refinery of wastes, electricity generation, water and wood economy, agriculture, health in Azerbaijan during a meeting of the Azerbaijani-Austrian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, held in Baku on 29 November.
Austria is also ready to render technical assistance in the training of personnel in the said directions. At present Austria is taking measures to remove problems in issue of visas for Azerbaijani citizens in short timeline.
We believe that it will promote the expansion of economic relationships. The experience testifies that that the businessmen involved in trade sector, mainly co-operate with the countries where no visa problems exist, the Minister noted.
