Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 May / Trend / The establishments and organizations financed from the public budget of Azerbaijan consumed 251.8mln KW/hour of power, 63,800 Gcal of heat energy, 35.7mln cu m of gas, 7.2mln cu m of water and communication services in the sum of AZN 1.4mln in the first quarter of 2008, Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee reported.
As compared to the first quarter of 2007, electric energy consumption increased by 18.9%, heat energy by 42.7%, communication services by 1.1%. Gas and water consumption rose by 17.4% and 20% respectively.
The cost of the consumed electric energy, heat energy, gas, water and communication services increased by 20.3% from the same period of 2007 to AZN 25.5mln.
