Currently, the South Caucasus pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum) pumps over 19.8 million cubic meters of gas per day, BP (technical operator) said.
Capital expenditures on the South Caucasus pipeline are expected to total $15 million in 2009 compared to $22 million in 2008.
The pipeline was put into operation in late 2006. The pipeline pumps gas to Azerbaijan and Georgia and Turkey since July 2007 as a part of Shah Deniz II.
The South Caucasus pipeline has two operators - BP which is responsible for construction and operation of the pipeline and Statoil Hydro which is a commercial operator responsible for development of pipeline's business and administrative issues.
The South Caucasus pipeline shareholders are BP (technical operator - 25.5 percent), StatoilHydro (commercial operator - 25.5 percent), Azerbaijan SCP Limited (10 percent), LUKOIL (10 percent), NICO (10 percent), Total (10 percent) and TRAO (9 percent).
