The Dede Gorgud floating semisubmersible drilling rig is currently at the Baku Shipyard.
It will be repaired soon, a source on the oil and gas market told Trend August 17.
There were some delays due to objective factors during the repair, the source said.
"The slow work is mainly connected with the weather conditions," the source said. "This was taken into account before the repair. From a technical point of view, there are no problems. The repair will be completed soon. The upgraded platform will be ready for jacking up to the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block no later than the middle of September."
Caspian Drilling Company (92.44-percent share is owned by SOCAR) is the operator of Dede Gorgud floating semisubmersible drilling rig.
