Azerbaijan’s Salyan Oil plans 175,000 tons of oil output in 2017

Azerbaijani oil company Salyan Oil, which is developing the Kursangi and Garabagli onshore fields, plans to produce 175,000 tons of oil in 2017, a source in the country’s oil and gas market told Trend Feb. 3.

Salyan Oil has produced more than 5 million tons of oil so far, according to the source.

“The company produced about 180,000 tons of oil in 2016,” the source said. “The output from the fields has been planned at 175,000 tons for 2017.”

Currently, about 450 tons of oil is being produced per day at the Kursangi and Garabagli fields.

The founders of Salyan Oil are Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR and the China National Oil & Gas Exploration and Development Corporation.
