Natural gas worth $239.3 million was exported from Azerbaijan to Georgia from January through May 2021, Trend reports with reference to the report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According to the State Customs Committee, 1.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas were exported from Azerbaijan to Georgia during the reporting period.
Azerbaijan exported more than 9.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas from January through May 2021, which is by 67.9 percent more than in the same period of last year. In value terms, gas worth about $1.3 billion was exported.
Azerbaijan exported more than 12.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2020, which is by 0.8 percent less than in 2019.
Gas worth about $2.2 billion in value terms was exported in 2020 (increase of 7.2 percent compared to 2019).
The trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan amounted to $536.2 million as of 2020.
