Azerbaijan exported 91,990 cubic meters of natural gas to Bulgaria from January through May 2021, Trend reports with reference to the report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According to the State Customs Committee, in monetary terms, Azerbaijani gas worth $12.2 million was exported to Bulgaria during the reporting period.
Azerbaijan exported more than 9.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas from January through May 2021, which is by 67.9 percent more than in the same period of last year. In value terms, gas worth about $1.3 billion was exported.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover reached about $11.8 billion from January through May 2021, which is by 6.1 percent more than in the same period of last year.
In the structure of foreign trade turnover, some $7.4 billion accounted for export from January through May 2021, which is by 6.5 percent more than from January through May 2020. The share of export reached 62.84 percent of the total volume of foreign trade turnover.
Azerbaijan's import volume exceeded $4.3 billion from January through May 2021, decreasing by 4.8 percent compared to the same period of 2020. The share of import in foreign trade turnover amounted to 37.2 percent.
The balance of foreign trade turnover on an annualized basis decreased by 8.2 percent and remaining positive amounted to $3.03 billion.
