Iran records increase in aluminum ingot production

Iran's aluminum ingots production increased by 23 percent, during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through October 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the report, four Iranian aluminum companies produced 305,000 tons of aluminum ingots within 7 months. The figure stood at 247,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

"So, the Iranian Aluminum Company produced about 105,000 tons of aluminum ingots, South Aluminum Corporation (SALCO) – 92,700 tons, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company – 85,500 tons, and Iran Alumina Company – 21,800 tons during 7 months," the report said.

In addition, the Iran Alumina Company produced 137,000 tons of alumina powder in seven months, which is a decrease of 2 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, this figure amounted to 139,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

As well as the company produced 554,000 tons of bauxite during the mentioned period, which is an increase of 19 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the bauxite production was 466,000 tons over the same period last Iranian year.
