The NaaSAT satellite team of Azerbaijan’s National Aviation Academy has received an invitation to participate in the next international competition “Student Satellite – CanSat”, Akbar Aliyev, engineer-designer, academician told Trend.
Aliyev noted that unlike the competition held this year, certain criteria have been introduced into the technical criteria for selecting the next competition’s participants.
The competition will be held at the Tarleton State University (US), in Stephenville city (Texas) in June 2018. The NaaSAT team took part in this competition for the first time in the middle of 2016, ranking 31st among 40 participating teams. In 2017, the Azerbaijani team ranked 13th.
