Turkish Airlines (THY) has decided to increase the frequency of international flights, Trend reports citing Turkish media.
According to the report, the frequency of flights from Istanbul to Madrid will be increased. Starting from June 9, 2020, the number of flights will increase from 21 flights per week to 25 flights per week.
In the first 11 months of 2019, over 1.4 million flights were carried out in Turkey, which is 0.4 percent more compared to the same period in 2018.
The number of domestic flights reached 777,000, while the international flights accounted to 669,000 of the total number of flights.
From January through November 2019, the number of domestic flights decreased by 6.4 percent, while the number of the international flights grew by 9.7 percent
In the reported period of 2019, 512,904 flights were carried out at three main airports in Turkey - Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya Airport.
