BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. Kyrgyzstan and Hungary plan to implement mutual projects worth more than $26 million, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov said, Trend reports via Kyrgyz media.
The issue was discussed in the frame of Hungarian-Kyrgyz business forum in Hungarian capital – Budapest, with the participation of the heads of business associations of both countries, the authorities of Hungary, and Kyrgyz president.
As Zhaparov pointed out, the meeting holds a great importance not only for Kyrgyzstan and Hungary but also for the development of economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and the EU.
According to him, the trade and economic potential between the two countries was not used at full capacity. He noted that from January through November 2022, the value of trade between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary made up only $7.6 million.
“Therefore, it is important to give a new impulse to the development of trade and economic, and industrial and investment cooperation. In this area, we have every opportunity to promote the export of organic products to the foreign markets,” Zhaparov said.
He also noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in Hungary’s experience in the use of new technologies in agro-industrial complex.
The president emphasized that Kyrgyz goods can be exported to Hungary without any fees. He suggested considering the opening of the trade house of Kyrgyzstan in Hungary, and the creation of new mutual enterprises on the production of ecological clean products in Kyrgyzstan.
