BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 24. A memorandum of understanding for cooperation has been signed between Kyrgyzstan's National Investment Agency and Mongolia's Investment and Trade Agency, Trend reports.
The signing took place following a meeting between the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, and Mongolia's Prime Minister, Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene, who visited the country on a working visit.
During the talks, Japarov expressed a strong desire to further expand and deepen cooperation in the political, trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. He noted with satisfaction that current bilateral relations with Mongolia are stable and on an upward trajectory.
Our cooperation is characterized by mutual understanding and a close alignment of approaches, and we successfully collaborate on the international stage within international and regional organizations," he said.
Japarov emphasized the importance of increasing trade turnover between the two countries, the signing of a trilateral agreement on road transport between Mongolia, China, and Kyrgyzstan, and joining the existing agreement on international road transport on the Asian Highway Network.
In turn, the Mongolian PM emphasized the importance of further expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation and collaboration across many sectors, including trade, mining, transport, agriculture, and others.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement on cooperation in the field of education and science was also signed between the cabinet of ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the government of Mongolia.
