BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 15. A coal enrichment plant will be built in the Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan by 2030, Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers, said, Trend reports.

The news was revealed during the second People's Kurultai, a national assembly encompassing citizens, local communities, self-government bodies, and state authorities.

The Chairman of the Cabinet continued, stating that in 2024, Kyrgyzkomur company will commence coal exports to China from four deposits: Ak-Ulak, Urmazan, Kara-Keche, and Besh-Burkan.

Japarov also highlighted that in 2024, 30,000 tons of bitumen will be produced, allowing for the asphalting of 450 kilometers of roads. Asphalt has been laid between villages. The Kok-Art tunnel on the North-South highway will be completed, thereby opening the road.

Furthermore, in 2024, an additional 20 kilometers of the Balikchy-Kochkor railway will be completed, with expectations of full operation by 2026. The technical and economic justification for the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project has been completed.

The second People's Kurultai, attended by President Sadyr Zhaparov, Speaker of the Parliament Nurlanbek Shakiev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov, cabinet members, government and municipal officials, and the public sector, is underway in Kyrgyzstan's Bishkek.
