BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 11. Kyrgyzstan is developing its priorities for the country's chairmanship of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in 2025, President Sadyr Zhaparov said, a source in the Kyrgyz presidential administration told Trend.

Zhaparov made this statement during a meeting with CSTO Secretary-General Imangali Tasmagambetov, who is on a visit to Kyrgyzstan.

The president pointed out that the development of these priorities keeps all the ducks in a row, considering every current factor and the weight of the proposed issues.

Zhaparov expressed satisfaction with the successful completion of the command-staff exercises "Interaction-2024" conducted in Balykchy by the CSTO collective rapid reaction forces. He emphasized the importance of this event for enhancing military-political cooperation and noted that the exercises successfully tested joint actions to strengthen security and defense capabilities, as well as various scenarios.

In turn, Tasmagambetov said that the exercises demonstrated an increased level of readiness among the CSTO collective forces to respond to any challenges and threats to collective and national security.
