TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 1. Uzbekistan Airways has increased the number of flights on the Tashkent-Grozny (Russian Federation)-Tashkent route to twice a week, Trend reports.
Two flights each week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, are presently in operation.
Prior to this, Uzbekistan Airways began operating more flights to Astana, Kazakhstan. Currently, daily service is provided by flights HY721/722 on the Tashkent - Astana - Tashkent route.
Uzbekistan Airways has also added a new Almaty–Nukus route flight to its fleet. Airbus A320 aircraft, which can accommodate 174 passengers, are used for the flights twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Additionally, Uzbekistan's international airports were buzzing with activity, handling a whopping 25,360 flights from January through March 2024. This indicator has shot up by 40 percent compared to the same period last year.
A grand total of 8,022 flights took to the skies on domestic routes, while a whopping 17,338 flights soared on international routes.
