TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 1. Uzbekistan’s trade turnover of natural and artificial gas reached $1.5 billion from January through August 2024.
According to the data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure indicates a 158.7 percent increase compared to the same period last year ($579.7 million in January–August 2023).
Uzbekistan’s exports of natural and artificial gas amounted to $404.8 million from January through August 2024, which has increased by 7.1 percent compared to the same period last year ($377.9 million in January–August 2023).
The imports of natural and artificial gas to Uzbekistan totaled $1.1 billion during this period. This indicator shows a 445 percent growth year-on-year ($201.8 million in January–August 2023).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan’s trade turnover volume of mineral fuels, lubricating oils, and similar materials amounted to $3.5 billion from January through August 2024. This indicator has increased by 75 percent compared to the same period last year ($2 billion in January–August 2023).
