(IRNA) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hailed the victory of the Lebanese resistance movement here Sunday afternoon, saying recent developments in the embattled country predicts the imminent collapse of secular governments.

Addressing a cabinet session, the president said the current situation in Lebanon points to an immiment victory for those who resist defeat by relying on their absolute faith in Allah (God) as against the most advanced technological warfare, reports Trend.

He criticized the savage military campaign of the Zionist regime on Lebanon and Palestine as well as the US' and certain Western states' continued support for Israeli atrocities.

Israeli savage air and ground attacks against civilian targets and infrastructure in Lebanon since July 12 have resulted in the deaths of almost 1,000 civilians and displacement of millions of others.

The continued Zionist regime's carnage in Lebanon has aroused widespread anger among Muslim and non-Muslim populations all over the world.

The president said that world public opinion was finally awakening and that this was true not only in the Islamic world but also in non-Muslim countries.
