Iran's non-oil export during the second month of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) had 27.5 percent growth compare to the same period in the last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020), said the spokesman of the Iran Customs Administration.
Iran's non-oil import and export was 11.9 million tons from April 21 to May 21 that worth $7.8 billion, Rouhollah Latifi told Trend in an interview.
The country's non-oil foreign trade during the first two months of the current Iranian year reached 22.2 million tons that valued at $12.8 billion that 11.9 million tons from this sum were related to the trade of non-oil commodities in the second month of the current Iranian year that was worth $7.8 billion.
The country's non-oil foreign trade from April 21 to May 21 included the export of 8.5 million tons of Iranian commodities valued at $3.3 billion while the country's import during this time was 3.3 million tons valued at $3.7 billion.
Iran's non-oil export during the first two months of the current Iranian year has increased 27.5 percent compared to the same time last Iranian year while import has increased 19 percent," he said.
The country's non-oil export value had 48 percent growth during the first two months of the current Iranian year compare to the same time in the last Iranian year.
The non-oil export volume during the second month of the current Iranian year was 277,000 tons valued at $384 million that were more than the first month.
In regard to the non-oil import, 1.2 million tons of goods valued at $937 million arrived in the country during the second month of the current Iranian year which was a 62.5 percent growth of volume and a 33.5 percent increase in value.
The non-oil export during the second month of the current Iranian year was $720 million more than the same time in the last Iranian year and had 27.5 percent growth.
The import also increased 19 percent compared to last Iranian year although there was a decline of volume by 531,000 tons export and 612,000 tons of import that would make 6 percent decline of export and 15.5 percent reduction of import based on weight.
China, Iraq, the UAE, Turkey, and Afghanistan were the top five export destinations during the second month of the current Iranian year.
Iran exported 2.3 million tons of commodities valued at $1.8 billion to China, about 1.5 million tons valued at $525 million to Iraq, 1.2 million tons of goods valued at $432 million to the UAE, and 193,000 tons valued at $211 million to Turkey and 459,000 tons valued $190 million to Afghanistan.
The country has imported 953,000 tons of commodity valued at $1.5 billion from the UAE, 240,000 tons valued at $832 million, 409,000 tons valued at $395 million from Turkey, 300,000 tons of goods valued at $227 million from Switzerland, 118.5 tons valued at $171 million from Germany.
