New Baku-Guba-Russian border highway to be toll road
The new Baku-Guba-Russian border highway will be a toll road, Saleh Mammadov, chairman of the Azerbaijan State Agency of Highways, said Feb. 22.
He stressed that the main task for 2018 is the construction of new Baku-Guba-Russian border road.
"It covers a 208-kilometer-section starting from M.Z. Taghiyev settlement," he said. "The four-lane road of the first category in the future will be the first toll road."
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order Feb. 19 on measures to build the new Baku-Guba-Russian border road.
According to the order, the Azerbaijan State Agency of Highways will allocate 150 million manats from the 2018 state budget.
President Aliyev allocates funds for development of livestock farming in Nakhchivan
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on Feb. 22 on additional measures to develop livestock farming in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
According to the order, three million manats will be allocated from the state budget to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Ilham Aliyev allocates funds for technical support to agricultural sector
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on measures to strengthen the technical support to the agricultural sector.
According to the order, 160 million manats will be allocated to Aqrolizinq OJSC with the aim of sustainable development of such traditional agricultural areas as grain growing, cotton growing, rice growing, tea growing and horticulture, and meeting the needs of producers of agricultural products in machinery, equipment and kits for irrigation systems.
